African Lily (Agapanthus) - Headbourne Hybrids

Spectacular flower heads appear to be floating on long, slender stems above lush clumps of strap- like leaves. Blooms appear in shades of blue and the occasional white, for sunny borders or large patio pots. A hardy perennial.

A native of South Africa, the name originates from the Greek ‘agape’ meaning love, and ‘anthos’ flower. Also known as the ‘African Lily’ or ‘Lily of the Nile’where it has grown abundantly on the river banks for centuries.
