Soft and subtle 'creamy' flowers on trailing plants which are remarkably easy to grow, they provide gentle contrast whether used to climb trellis or as a ground cover. Will do well, even in poor soils. A hardy glabrous annual.
A native of South America, from Columbia to Bolivia, introduced to Europe from Peru possibly by the Spanish Conquistadors. Named by Linnaeus it derives from the Greek ‘tropaion’ meaning trophy.
