Tricyrtis - Toad Lily

Exotic, star shaped lily-like flowers create an exciting display, just when other perennials begin to fade. Long lived and undemanding shade plants they can also be used as cut flowers. A hardy rhizomatous perennial.
Known as the ‘Toad Lily’ It certainly becomes a ‘prince’ of flowers! A native of Japan where it grows in ‘dappled’ woodland areas. The name comes from the Greek ‘treis’ three and ‘Kyrtos’ meaning convex, describing the outer petals.
