Classic pumpkin used in pies, it has sweet orange flesh which cooks beautifully. Fruits are approx. 2kg (4.5lb), an ideal size for culinary use. Carve some for Halloween and use the flesh in soup.
Recipe Tip: Dice pumpkin and red onion and roast in oven with a little olive oil until soft and tender. Add to a pan of vegetable or chicken stock seasoned with crushed garlic, salt and pepper. Boil and reduce to simmer. Blend and serve for a delicious soup.
