Canterburry Bells - Platycodon Grandiflora

Beautiful open, delicately veined blooms sit above attractive blue-green foliage. Delightfully versatile subjects for the perennial border and extremely good for pots or as cut flowers. A hardy perennial.

The name derives from the greek ‘platys’ broad and ‘kodon’, bell. The name ‘Balloon Flower’ comes from the buds which swell up like a balloon then burst open to reveal graceful star-like blooms.
