Grass - Miscanthus Sinensis

An elegant ornamental grass with tall reed-like stems and long lasting pretty panicles of silky spikelets. Popular as a free-standing architectural plant or grouped as a living screen. A hardy deciduous perennial.
A native of south east Asia where it grows in large breathtaking drifts. The name derives from Greek ‘mischos’ stalk and ‘anthos flower’, referring to the spikelets formed on long stems. Commonly known as ‘Chinese Silver Grass’.
