Calabrese - Purple Sprouting Rudolph

A high quality long season variety that develops large spears with deep purple heads and succulent stems. One of the earliest to crop, it is at its most delicious from November onwards.

Recipe Tip: Boil broccoli spears in a pan for a few minutes to ´blanch´. Set aside. Heat oil in a pan, add crushed garlic and a little paprika. Add broccoli, fried bacon lardons and some finely chopped anchovy fillets. Stir together and cook until tender, serve.
