Kohlrabi - Purple Vienna

An unusual looking vegetable with a delightfully mild and slightly nutty flavour. The purple bulbs have a crisp, white flesh. Very versatile, can be used both raw and cooked.

Recipe Tip: Slice kohl rabi and sautee in a pan. Place a layer in a greased baking dish and a layer of ham, sprinkle with parsley and cover with a traditional white sauce. Repeat layers ending with kohl rabi. Bake until golden brown.
