Lettuce - Mesclun Mixed

Quick and easy to grow mix of leaves with different colours, textures and shapes. Taste varies from spicy to mild. Mesclun (a mix of small leaves) is a favourite salad in France and Italy.

Recipe Tip: Mix a little sherry vinegar, hazelnut oil, olive oil and a squeeze of lime juice. In a large bowl toss this dressing with mesclun leaves and sliced apples and pears and toasted pine nuts, rub slices with lemon juice to stop discolouration, serve.

Contents may vary but generally include rocket, chicory and cress as well as other leaves and herbs. Varieties grow at different rates giving a different salad mix at every cut.
