Pumpkin - Squash - Waltham Butternut

From mid spring until early summer in open ground in a seedbed. Plant out in well manured soil. A peanut-shaped squash with sweet orange flesh. Rich squash flavour for baking or mashing. Delicious when cubed and added to stew with warm-flavoured seasonings such as cloves, cardamon, curry, cumin, cayenne and paprika.
