Summer Squash - Striato Italia

Very attractive fruits with raised green ridges. They have a distinct almost nutty flavour and firm texture, which some say is the best of all courgettes.

Recipe Tip: Cut lengthways into thin ribbons, season with a little salt and shallow fry for a few minute until tender, alternatively blanch in boiling water. Dress with a marinade of chopped garlic and mint leaves in a little olive and balsamic vinegar, serve.
